FieldTag is for working technicians, contractors and students. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, and able to form a binding contract. You are responsible for your account, for keeping your password secure, and for all activity under it.
FieldTag provides calculators, reference tables, and an AI-assisted equipment tag reader. Results are estimates based on the inputs you enter and on published references (for example industry tables, manufacturer data and code tables). Tag decoding and gauge or text reading use automated recognition and can be wrong. Codes, manufacturer instructions and local requirements change and vary by jurisdiction.
You keep ownership of the jobs, notes, photos and other content you add. Scan photos stay on your device; decoded data, jobs, projects, calculator results and favorites are stored in your account and sync across your devices. You give us a limited license to store, process and transmit it as needed to run FieldTag for you, including sending photos or text you submit to our AI and infrastructure providers as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the right to enter your customers' information and for using it lawfully.
Do not: use FieldTag unlawfully; upload content you have no right to share or that is malicious; attempt to access other users' data, probe or disrupt the service, or bypass usage limits or ads; scrape, reverse engineer or resell the service or its reference data; or use it to build a competing product.
FieldTag Pro removes ads and adds business branding on exported reports; it does not change the daily scan limit. It is offered as an auto-renewing subscription:

FieldTag is free to use with ads. Scanning is limited to 50 scans per day per account on every plan, including FieldTag Pro. Other limits and features may change. Advertising is provided by Google AdMob as described in the Privacy Policy.
This app is licensed to you, not sold. Unless we state otherwise, your use of the app is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/), which is incorporated here. If these Terms conflict with that EULA, the EULA controls as to the Apple-specific terms. Apple is not responsible for the app, its maintenance or support, or claims relating to it, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the EULA and may enforce it against you.
FieldTag, its software, design, tables as compiled, and branding belong to us or our licensors. Published reference data belongs to its respective sources. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app for your own work.
You may stop using FieldTag and delete your account in Settings → Delete Account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or misuse the service. Sections that by nature should survive (disclaimers, liability limits, governing law) survive termination.
FieldTag is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not warrant that results, decoded tag data or reference tables are error-free, complete or current, or that the service will be uninterrupted.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, FieldTag and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or business, or for property damage, injury or code violations arising from use of the app or reliance on its results. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or US $50 if you paid nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located there, except where local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
We may update these Terms. We will change the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the update.
